Irish Coffee

Ingredients
Hot strong black coffee
A good measure of whiskey
1 teaspoonful of brown sugar
Heavy cream

Instructions
Begin by brewing the coffee. Meanwhile pour a little hot water into a heatproof glass or cup and swirl it around to warm the glass; then discard the water. Now put a teaspoonful of sugar into the warm glass. Then put the cream into a small bowl or pitcher and very lightly whip.

Next pour the hot coffee into the glass until the glass is almost full – about ½ inch from the top - and stir well until the sugar has dissolved; then add the whiskey and give the coffee another stir.

After this very carefully pour the cream over the back of a teaspoon – so that the cream floats on top of the coffee. Irish coffee is deliciously warming.
