Drip or Filter

This is a very popular method of making coffee which involves water being poured over coffee contained in a filter - this may be paper or metal - the water then passes through the ground coffee and the filter before dripping into the carafe or pot below. The type of grind recommend for this coffee brewing method tends to vary but fine seems to be the general consensus.
